Trigonometry Calculator
Evaluate sine, cosine, and tangent with an explicit DEG or RAD angle mode.
Choose an angle mode
Select DEG when the input is written in degrees, such as 30° or 45°. Select RAD when the input is written in radians, such as pi/6 or pi/4. The page makes the mode visible because the same numeric value has a different meaning in each system.
Supported trigonometric functions
The calculator evaluates sine, cosine, tangent, and inverse trigonometric functions through the shared browser engine. It also supports hyperbolic functions and common powers and roots. Domain and undefined-value errors are reported instead of returning a misleading number.
Worked examples
In DEG mode, sin(30) equals 0.5, cos(60) equals 0.5, and tan(45) equals 1 within normal floating-point display limits. In RAD mode, use sin(pi/6) for the same half-value relationship.
Frequently asked questions
Frequently Asked Questions About Online Calculators
Which angle mode is the default?
DEG is the default for familiar classroom degree problems.
Why is my answer different?
Check DEG versus RAD first, then check parentheses and the exact expression.
Does the tool support inverse functions?
Yes, supported inverse functions return a domain error when the input is outside their valid range.
