Frequently Asked Questions About Online Calculators

How do I calculate business days excluding weekends and holidays?

Enter your start and end dates, select which days to exclude as weekends (Saturday and Sunday are checked by default), and type any holidays in the “Custom Holidays” text box (each date on a new line). Click “Calculate Business Days.” The tool will show the count of business days, weekend days, and holidays excluded in the results section.

Can I add working days to a date and get the exact end date?

Yes. Switch to the “Add Working Days” tab, enter a start date, the number of working days, select forward or backward, and optionally add custom holidays. The result displays the calculated end date plus a timeline summary showing how many calendar days the addition spans.

Is this working date calculator safe for confidential project timelines?

Absolutely. The entire calculation runs in your browser—no data is uploaded to any server. You can input sensitive contract dates, employee schedules, or internal deadlines without any privacy concerns. No registration, no cookies tracking your dates.

Does the tool support holidays from different countries?

The “Holiday List” tab can generate standard holidays for the United States, United Kingdom, and China for 2026–2028. You can copy those dates into the custom holidays field in other tabs. For any country or custom holiday not listed, you can enter dates manually (one per line) in the format YYYY-MM-DD.

What if I work a 6-day week or have a different weekend?

You can uncheck Saturday or Sunday in the “Weekend Settings” section. The tool will treat only the checked days as non-working. For example, if your work week is Monday to Saturday, uncheck both Saturday and Sunday—then manually add Sunday as a custom holiday if needed. It’s flexible enough for most unusual schedules.

Can I use this working date calculator for project planning with multiple milestones?

Yes. Each calculation is independent, so you can run it repeatedly for different phases. Because it’s browser-based and instant, you can iterate quickly—adjust a date, add a holiday, recalculate in one click. For complex schedules, consider using the “forward” and “backward” options to work from a known endpoint backward to find the start date.
